As part of the City of Ottawa’s outreach program, the department of Solid Waste Operations has developed an educational program to help reach, inform and involve students in waste reduction initiatives. Green Bin Ottawa is part of the new curriculum, built around guidelines provided by the Ministry of Education.
School Curriculum
The Green Bin modules below target K-8 grade students, and include interactive activities and presentations to help teachers educate students about recycling, composting and garbage.
